Who is Paul and why should we interview him? These are some questions that we will investigate!

Interview with Paul
Behind the painting
"Paul’s work I can only best describe as a portrayal of existential dread, disgust and fear. Many pieces of his work seem to entice these feelings from me, from the slender, bony creatures he’s made, to the lipless, anorexic women hanging in chains.
Other pieces seem to convey deep Loneliness or even Death, as the chair slowly sinking into the ocean. It was no doubt once sat on by some poor human whom has since long drowned.
Some of these paintings also makes me think of superstitions, as he makes broken walls of houses and vines growing out in the wild seemingly appear as monsters, waiting for unwise prey to come near."

Portraits 'to see or not to see'
"It’s easier to find meaning in landscapes and freeform art then it is to make comments about portraits. Without knowing the people in them I wouldn’t ever be able to say if their ‘spirit’, or personality shines through them or not.
Still, many of the backgrounds are very complimentary to the overall art piece, giving extra colour and variety. Green fields and rivers or an almost Mesopotamian looking river through dry landscape help place the people in them more closely to something real (for lack of better term).
All of them, however, do look very alive (Or have been alive), the colours used to make faces, is realistic and the eyes have something indescribable to them that speaks of life experience (at least to me)."
